FAQ
1. Should I cleanse?
YES! Everyone should cleanse to feel the benefits of more energy and better digestion. Cleansing allows your body to rid itself of harmful toxins which are consumed every day. If you are experiencing headaches, blemishes, or body odor, among other things, your body is sending you a message. The body cannot rid itself of the toxins that have entered the bloodstream and are showing up in potentially harmful ways. Total Cleanse gives our bodies the opportunities to take a break from the daily hardship of digesting processed foods.
2. When should I drink my Juice?
Start each morning of the cleanse with a nice glass of plain or lemon water. Within the first hour or two of waking up you should drink your first juice. You should drink your juices every 2-3 hours apart and finish it within 20 minutes to preserve freshness.
3. What if I’m hungry?
Even though your calories are somewhat restricted, there are enough calories in your juice to get you through the day. You should not eat any solid foods while cleansing (even vegetables) as this will affect the benefits of the cleanse. Total Cleanse allows your digestive system a much-needed rest. Eating will interfere with that resting periods because your digestion system will have to work to break down the foods that you’re eating. When you juice, the body no longer needs to digest or break down your food and as a result, the nutrition from the juice is immediately and quickly released into your bloodstream. If you feel weak, skip your workout and go home and relax! Remember, you are cleansing and shouldn’t push yourself.
4. I’m using my juice as a supplement and need to eat; what can I eat?
We suggest that you follow the sample menu of your Total Cleanse Guide that is emailed to you prior to the start of your cleanse. This includes eating fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. You should avoid dairy, meat, processed foods and refined sugars.
5. Can I add sugar substitutes to my water or juices?
If you must sweeten your juice, stick to a high grade organic maple syrup. Total Cleanse is all about limiting harmful refined sugars.
6. What order should I drink my juices in?
Drink your juice in its’ numbered ordered. For example on Day One drink bottles 1 through 6 and do the same for the duration of your cleanse. The order in which you consume your juices directly effects how you absorb the nutrients.
7. Can I drink coffee, alcohol or smoke?
Coffee and alcohol are diuretics which mean they may dehydrate you and they can also interfere with the absorption of certain key nutrients required for your cleanse.

17. Why does your juice only last for 4 days?
Our juice is 100% fresh and unpasteurized with no added chemicals or additives so it cannot last forever like most pasteurized products.
18. How do you make your juice?
We use a hydraulic press to produce our juice. The benefit of using a hydraulic juice press is that it extracts a much high concentration of vitamins and minerals than the more common centrifugal juicer. A centrifugal juicer, juices at a high heat which introduces air into the juice thereby reducing the shelf life and killing a lot of the key nutrients. A hydraulic press, first cuts and grinds the produce before putting it through the press to extract the juice. Less oxygen is entered into the juice which means you’re drinking a much more nutritionally dense juice.

We suggest that you cleanse seasonally or no less than 4 times a year but ideally you should cleanse for 3-days once a month. This will ensure that each month, your body has a good rest and a chance to recover. Cleansing before and after a holiday, long-weekend, vacation or when you’re feeling tired, depressed, constipated and sick is also a good excuse to cleanse as it will strengthen your immune system and keep you on track.
20. Should I stop taking my vitamin supplements?
